Libyan Embassy Protest, London, Thursday 10th March 2011

Before I arrived someone had attached a small red-black-green "free Libya" flag to the Embassy balcony. The green "Gadafi" flag was hanging down almost to the ground.

Photo from newspaper: one of the two people reported to have taken down Gadafi's green flag:

Leaflet: "CV of a dictator" including:
1984: WPC Yvonne Fletcher murdered by shots fired from Libyan Embassy in St James's Square (nb different place, not this current location).
1986: bombed disco in Berlin.
1988: airplane blown up over Lockerbie.
1996: Murder of 1200 political prisoners in Abu Salim prison.
2006: 10 unarmed protesters shot dead in Benghazi,
2011: maybe 3000 or more killed so far and the number increases every day.
Very large and loud anti-Gadafi crowds today. There was also meant to be a pro-Gadafi demo today but after I arrived around 4pm I didn't see any at all.
Gadafi must go
